The school age years are a pretty difficult time. There’s peer pressure and trying to find where you belong as well and the stress and pressure of making good grades.  The increased focus on school violence is making even more difficult for kids during this time. Science tells us kids who have a sense of safety and belonging are able to learn better, so why do schools do such a bad job at  creating those feelings?

Staying Healthy at Any Age

Aging isn’t what it used to be. The generation that grew up on rock and roll expects more out of life than sitting around baking cookies and waiting for the grandkids to call. Their cultural heroes are still doing it, Bob Dylan and The Who never got off the road. Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones are still selling out arenas. If 75 year olds can still strap on guitars and knock everyone out, obviously there’s hope for all of us.
